A couple of essentials, and a new lippy
Thursday, 3 April 2014
A makeup bag was needed, and I picked up a coupler of other bits alongside. Here are my first thoughts, and a short review on the toothbrushes. They aren't such a random purchase to include I swear haha.
Ted Baker PVC makeup bag
I needed a new makeup bag, okay I didn't but I'm constantly packing my makeup to go see my boyfriend and the current one just wasn't working anymore. The old one was a white basic one, with a cute bow but it has two zips. This may sound daft but I wanted all my makeup in one place so went on the search for a new one. This fitted the bill perfectly. It is rather large, but I love it. It's see-through with the addition of a pretty design. I liked the idea of a clear makeup bag as it allows me to have a quick look and check that I have everything I want. I can easily fit all my essential makeup with plenty of space for much more.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in shade 245 Audacious
I've wanted one of the Revlon new lip crayons since they've come out, but have been trying to be good. As you can see this has failed, and I have given in. I went for a matte balm over the lacquer purely because in my head I already knew what shade I wanted. This was an orange one, and I thought it would stand out more in a matte format. Audacious fitted this description perfectly. Orange isn't a colour I'd normally go for, but with it being Spring now I thought I'd brave it and take the gamble. So far I'm impressed, a full review will be coming up.
Avene soothing hydrating serum
The Avene soothing hydrating serum was the next product to hit my basket. I read about this on a couple of blogs a few weeks ago, and loved the sound of the results, particularly the calming redness part. I'm running out of my current serum so this was perfect timing. It's hypo-allergenic and paraben free, and designed to soothe skin with its anti-irritating properties whilst being super-moisturising. I can't wait to start trying this product out.
Oral-B Pro Expert Pulsar toothbrushes
Yes, a toothbrush may be a slightly weird product to mention but my god are these worth mentioning. I somehow lost my original one last weekend after two months of use, so of course needed a new toothbrush, and just had to have this particular one again. They have "vibrating bristles for a deep clean." There is a small on and off button, and a little battery integrated causing the vibrations. This battery you can't change. You may think this could be annoying, but it's recommended you change your toothbrush every three months anyway and the battery is designed to last 3-4 months so perfect in my mind. As to the vibrations they help give your teeth a deep cleaning, and I have to say are amazing at their job. They get rid of every tiny scrap of dirt. So if you're looking for a toothbrush with that extra bit of power, but not quite wanting to purchase a full electric toothbrush then purchase this. Go to the shop right now and get one, it is honestly that good and worth the money.
