Clinique All About Shadow 8-pan palette review

Clinique All About Shadow 8-pan palette is a neutral eyeshadow palette consisting of eight shades. It is part of the 16 Shades of Beige Collection which also includes seven limited edition nail polishes. I believe the eyeshadow palette is also limited edition.

Each shade in this palette is well pigmented, especially the darker ones. I will be providing swatches at the bottom of my review; the lighter ones haven't shown up so well sadly due to them being similar to my skintone but don't let this put you off as they do show well in the lids. Each eyeshadow is also a lovely creamy texture so a dream to apply to the eyelids, and also blend together.

As to the shades of eyeshadow themselves, they are both extremely versatile and wearable. A day look can easily be created, but this can also easily be transformed into an evening look.

The first shade in the palette is Sugar Cane; a lovely white colour with a light shimmer within. I love using this in the corner of my eyes to help brighten up any look.

The second shade is from the Diamonds and Pearls duo and is the light shade within that duo palette. I'd describe this colour as a light beige shimmer with a slight yellow colour added in. This colour is perfect as a base eyeshadow colour, but also as a highlighting colour.

The third shade is from the Neutral Territory duo and is again the light shade within that palette. This is a beige colour again with a slight shimmer, and leaves an almost satin finish. The shade is perfect as an alternate choice of base colour.

The forth shade is from the Day into Date duo, and is also the light shade within that palette. I'd say this is a mix between a dark beige and a light red colour, perfect for adding depth to the lid. It's a lush colour to line the lid, and underneath the bottom lashes.

The fifth shade is from the Polar Blue quad, and is the brown shade from this quad. I'd describe the colour as a light brown shade with a bit of added shimmer. I've used it as a base colour, and as a contouring colour on the lid.

The sixth shade is Hazy, a darker brown of the sixth shade in the palette. It has an eeny bit of shimmer in it, and is perfect for contouring, especially along the crease.

The seventh shade is Black Honey, and my absolute favourite out of the entire bunch. It is a dark reddy-brown colour, I know I'm amazing at describing colours. It also has a light shimmer to it. I find it really brightens my eye up, and love to use it for contouring. I generally apply it to the crease, to line the bottom of the lid, and also in the outer corner.

The eight shade is from the Morning Java Quad, and is the dark brown shade. This shade is a brown-black shade, kind-of half way between the two. Like all the other shades in this palette it has a light shimmer to it. This is the one eyeshadow I have had the least use out of it, but that's mainly because its so dark and I am very pale toned. I can see it being another perfect colour for contouring, and me using it as an eyeliner to complete a look.

The All About Shadow 8-pan palette also comes with a handy little Clinique brush. Normally I dislike the brushes included within palettes but half of this one is actually really good. I wouldn't really use a sponge applicator on my eyelids, but I have been loving the eyeshadow brush. It is perfect to cover the lid, and highlight the corner of my eyes. So all in all, it's not a bad addition.

The packaging of the palette is like a large mirror so it does get handprints all over it very easily. However, it looks nice, and very upmarket. It's nice and sturdy, and the inside mirror is a great size, even still clean enough to actually use, and this little palette has been everywhere with me.

So, what do I think? I absolutely love this palette from Clinique. Yes it is another neutral palette, and there are so many around but this one is definitely worth it. The formula is amazing with little fallout. You can easily create a subtle daytime look, but also a more out-there evening look, such as a smokey eye. The colours are far less glittery than those in the Naked series, they aren't matte but I definitely think they would work for a range of ages. So, if you're looking for a new neutral palette, I definitely suggest you swatch this one for yourself as it could be the one for you.
