The Pink Lip

Pink is a colour I'm never really sure on, I've never been a pink girl, but have been trying to convince myself to try more pink lip colours. I think they look amazing in the summer, and is a nice alternative to the typical summer coral lip.

In aid of persuading myself I found the Bourjois Paris effet 3D lipgloss in shade 23 Framboise magnific in my stash. My immediate reaction was 'ooh, a lipgloss, this is likely to be softer on the lips.'

On to the lipgloss itself, I think I may have found the perfect bright summer pink lip colour for me. The colour is still a bright pink, but it has glitter in it alongside a lush shiny finish. This means the finish is far softer, and less in your face than a brighter pink lipstick may be.

As to the formula itself, it is paraben free, and 92% of the formula is made out of hydrating and nourishing agents to help keep lips moisturised for 8 hours. I'm not sure I agree with the 8 hours, but the gloss definitely isn't sticky and does leave the lips moisturised when first applied.

What I love about this lipgloss as well, is it is designed to plump up the lips creating volumnous lips, hence the 3D in the product titling. The Bourjois Paris effet 3D gloss definitely does this.

All in all, this was an impressive find, and I didn't even need to purchase. I can see it being a firm favourite throughout the summer months.

What do you think of pink lips? Would you prefer a lipstick or a gloss in Spring/Summer?
