The skincare post.

Seen as I haven't made a skincare post yet I thought it was about time I did. My regime for both the morning and evening are pretty similar, so I thought I'd include them all in one post.

In the morning I like to start with a quick clean using the Garnier Micellar Solution to get rid of any dirt, and wake up the morning sleepy eyes. Following this, I move onto the L'Oreal Radiance Revealing Exfoliator. I love how gentle this is, perfect for everyday use. It immediately brightens up my face. I then move on to my beloved Boots Botanics All Bright Cleansing Toner giving my skin a quick tone before moving onto serums and creams. I have been using the Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum both morning and evening to add a bit of extra moisture to my skin. My skin's quite sensitive and can sometimes appear slightly red; this is a product which I have noticed has really helped with that, both instantly and on a more long-term basis. Next I pop a bit of Dirty Works Eye Cream under and around my eyes. I love the light reflectors built into this product - I can instantly notice a difference. Lastly, I pop on my choice of moisturiser for the day which is The Body Shop Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream. Every time I try a different moisturiser I always seem to go back to this one, again it has those super-fine light reflectors I love within. This all leaves me with a lovely luminous base to start the day.

As to my evening routine, this is pretty similar. The main difference is, I use a more thorough cleanser, and a different moisturiser. I normally use The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter* to start the process. I love the way when I apply this I can feel and see my makeup instantly dissolving beneath. This gets rid of all traces of makeup, including waterproof mascara and gel eyeliner, and leaves the skin lovely and soft. Following this I sometimes give my skin a quick once over with the Garnier Micellar Water, and then apply my Boots Botanics All Bright Cleansing toner. Again, I then use my Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum to hydrate my skin, and help lock in moisture. Next I use my Dirty Works Eye Cream to ensure my eyes are lovely and moisturised. Lastly, I love using the Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream as my night cream. This isn't actually specified as a night cream, but I find it works best used in this way for my skin. The cream is quite thick, sinks in easy and always leaves my skin looking more awake in the morning, always a bonus.

I have been using these products for a while now, and I am really enjoying them. They work perfectly together, and leave my skin happy.

  1. You've got some great products here! I really love the Body Shop Cleansing Butter, and everything I've tried from the Vitamin E range. Love the Avene serum too, it's so nice and soothing in the mornings.

    1. You should, it's the best micellar water I've tried, and seems to get rid of all makeup easily. If you have an ASDA near you, you should check there as it's quite often on offer for £3. -Kristy
