The Nars Tinted Moisturiser is another ahh bloggers made me buy it product. I was so excited to receive this, and have now been trialing the product on and off for the last couple of months so thought it was time for a review.
Nars say the Nars Tinted Moisturiser is "your skin - almost bare, but better." I do believe this is a pretty accurate description. The tinted moisturiser is lovely and light in texture, and on the skin. To me, it feels similar to my regular day moisturiser, and has a light, but noticable smell of sunscreen. It provides a relatively sheer coverage, but it does conceal more than you would think, and/or I expected.
The product has an SPF 30 so is perfect for the Summer months. It also claims to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation and dark spots in just four weeks, so is also kind of a skincare product. Unfortunately I can't comment on the results of this as I don't have any pigmentation or dark spots, but it's great to know the product can do this.
Another thing I love is the natural ingredients within this product - it is created with naturally derived botanicals. It also contains Kopara from French Polynesia and mineral rich seawater revive and re-mineralize. This is said to create a softer, smoother, natural glow. If you look at my second swatch of the product blended in you can see the glow the product provides, to me it's that lit from within glow.
So, what do I think? Unfortunately I'm not in love with the product as much as I thought I would be. I do love it's light texture, and the ability to cover blemishes. The sunscreen is a great addition as well, however I have relatively dark circles and found this didn't really cover them at all. I did try using my everyday concealer over the top but for some reason I found it to cake or become really obvious. I am going to continue experimenting as I am determined to get this product to work for me.
I will let you know if I do start loving it a little bit more, but for now it isn't my go-to base. If you are looking for a light base, and haven't already tried it I definitely suggest you give it a try. I do love the glowy finish, but if like me you have quite dark circles then I suggest maybe trying a sample first.
What's your go-to base in the hotter months? Have you tried the Nars Tinted moisturiser?
