New Year Resolutions.

New Year resolutions aren't ever something I take too seriously, or to be honest really make any. You see, I've never really seen the point, I'm not sure why but never have.
I guess you hear of all these people making resolutions and not sticking to them, such as going to the gym and then just clogging up the gym not really doing anything. I think this puts me off haha. I do need to start toning myself again however, but all of mine are all general ones to be honest. I've decided to create five resolutions that are realistic for myself.
Firstly and mainly, I want and need to just stop worrying about silly things. I'm a girl and we all worry but I swear sometimes the things that worry me personally the most are just unneeded and daft, so I'd love to be more carefree with my worrying if that makes sense haha.
Secondly save! Save, save and save! I recently saved up to move out relatively easy, but now I have more things to pay for I need to think about this more. I'm very careful with having enough money for everything but I can be carefree with the rest of my money. Saving would be amazing, and saving money in order to own a house sounds even more amazing.
This links into my third resolution of clearing my university overdraft. When I started university I had very little savings and coming from a poorer background I knew money would be tight which meant me using my overdraft. I'd love to have this entirely cleared by the end of 2015.
My forth is to blog more, and blog consistently, posting at least twice a week. I love blogging but working full time sometimes leaves a lazy Kristy. I would love to grow my blog more, and believe two posts is something that's manageable for me whilst still giving me plenty of time to chill with my boyfriend and friends.
My fifth and final resolution is to get back into pole dancing. I started pole dancing in my final year of university and absolutely loved but have only done it a few times since, but it really is a great sport and a great way to tone up and something I'd love to do more of.
Have you made any resolutions for 2015? I'd love to hear them :). P.s. have an amazing new years everyone and see you in 2015!

Christmas Celebrations!

Ahh Christmas! of the most wonderful times of the year. Yes, I'm 22 and I still love Christmas. But to be fair, if you read my blog regularly you will know that I recently moved in with my boyfriend a couple of months a go which has made this Christmas all the more exciting. Our first Christmas in our own flat :).
And here's to my favourite photo's from the day itself:
Me and my boy <3.
One of my favourite jokes from the crackers.
Playing with my sister's new toy.
The Christmas dinner.
Haha this picture just makes me laugh :D.

My gorgeous bracelet from my boy.
Noughts and Crosses shots to end the evening.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got spoilt. What's your favourite thing about Christmas?

Flat theme - my lounge

So today I thought I would share with you more of a lifestyle themed post - one based on my front living room. I love reading these kinds of post, and really enjoy including the odd lifestyle post myself every now and then.
And that is my lounge haha.
We have kept it quite simple but one major theme throughout the room is glass, glass and silver. We have a matching coffee table (please excuse everything under the table) and TV unit. We also have a glass noughts and crosses set on our coffee table. Our DVD stand is also glass which ties in perfectly.
However I think my favourite part of our lounge has to be the mirrors on the wall. I believe they really open up the room and are a nice additional feature.
How do you like your lounge to look? Do you tend to have an underlying theme?

Mid-week favourite no 5: L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara

Ahh, it's time for this week's mid-week favourite; this week's has to be... the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara... a mascara made of dreams.
When I tried their False Lashes mascara a while back, I honestly didn't think there would be one to beat it but then I found the Miss Manga mascara, another mascara from L'Oreal. The result is just wow.
The mascara is designed to create mega volume on both the upper and lower lashes. The brush itself is a thin cone-like shape that brushes along every single lash with ease. This leaves them thick and long, with plenty of volume.
From researching a little bit into the product I have found the formula is what creates these amazing lashes, of course alongside the brush. The formula is made up of enlarging collagen spheres that exasperate the natural lashes into fuller, more pronounced ones.
I love this mascara and can see this being a favourite for a long time.
L'Oreal are definitely top of the game when it comes to mascaras in my eyes.
What are you loving lately? Have you tried this mascara from L'Oreal?

Mid-week favourite no.4: The Body Shop all-in-one BB cream

This product is probably a monthly favourite for November that just hasn't stopped, and I have used every day of this month, well until yesterday. The Body Shop all-in-one BB cream is a light base that has the benefits of being deeply moisturising as well.
I had been using your regular foundation, but was finding this cold weather was leaving my skin really dry so I thought I'd give The Body Shop BB cream a go. And actually, it did seem to solve the problem leaving my skin much brighter and alive.
The BB cream itself is a white cream with little dots throughout, essentially those dots blend into colour on your skin. I also find the product blends so naturally with the skin. I mean I can get away with wearing two out of the four shades without looking like I've been tango'd.
All in all I love this product and it has definitely been this week's favourite... so much so I have cut the entire thing open and I am left with absolutely none left :(.
What have you been loving this week?

You Beauty Discovery December 2014 review

For those of you who don't know Youbeauty Discovery is a beauty box subscription you receive on a monthly basis at a mere cost of just £6.95 including postage. Each month, you get to choose two products from a specific theme. Alongside this you also receive two additional items; one normally a food/drink item, and the other being some form of a beauty product.
This month's theme was 'party prep' and consisted of nine products to choose from that you would typically use when getting ready for an everning out. I chose the Wilkinson Sword Sensitive Care Shaver, and two mini dry shampoos by Colab. I also received a chocolate Lindt rabbit and two samples... A Lindt rabbbit for free, isn't that something we all want?
Firstly I went for the Wilkinson Sword Intuitiom Naturals sensitive care shaver. This shaver is designed to leave your skin irresistably smooth, and of course hair-free. Additionally it contains a gently creamy gel to not only care for your legs whilst shaving, but also after shaving by gently moisturising them. I haven't actually tried this product yet but I can't wait to give it ago. The fact it is designed to leave my legs moisturised after use has definitely intrigued me.
My second choice had to be these recently released dry shampoos from Colab. I have only heard things about these products since their release, and they seem to definitely live up to that claim. The main difference to these and your average dry shampoo is the scent, these have a far more welcoming scent. The Rio scent a lovely contemporary smell that leaves a subtle clean scent behind. As to the London scent, this one also smells lush but this time fruitier, leaving behind a tropical scent. I don't know about you but not being able to smell the usual dry shampoo smell is definitely a bonus.
A lot of people have also commented on how these dry shampoos by Colab are less white when sprayed than other dry shampoos. I have never really found this a problem myself, but I have noticed that these don't leave behind any residue. They definitely mix in with my hair easily.
Overall I would have liked a few more choices as the two products I selected were the only ones which really took my interest. However I can't complain at the products I received and I would definitely say they are worth the £6.99 I paid for the beauty box. The shaver itself is worth £6.99 at full price.
What do you thin of the products I received? Do you subscribe to any beauty boxes?

I wish it could be Christmas everyday... the Christmas TAG!

So it's nearly Christmas, OMG! 19 days if I have counted correctly we will be all waking up and starting our own Christmas traditions. Christmas trees, Christmas songs, Christmas spirit, family and time to chill. I love it. So on that note I have seen the Christmas tag floating around and had to share my own answers.
1. What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Hmmm... that would probably have to either be the orginal Santa Claus .. I used to love watching this film over and over as a kid .. or Elf. That never fails to make me laugh, ohh and The Holiday of course.
2. Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Nope :( I would actually love that to happen, waking up to snow everywhere sounds amazing.
3. Where do you usually spend Christmas?
At my grandparents with my mum and sisters. This year will be a tad different though; I will be waking up in my flat with my boy, then heading down to see the fam.
4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
All I want for Christmas is you hands down! I play this 10000000x over every single year, and the worst part is I'm not even exaggerating. I love this song.
5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
No.... don't think that's been something I have ever done.
6. Can you name all of Santa's reindeers?
Ermm.. Rudolph? Vixen? Apparently not, but hey I didn't forget the most important one at least.
7. What holiday traditions are you most looking forward to this year?
Just waking up in our own flat, and seeing my family. Pulling crackers and the general Christmas dinner.
8. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/treat?
Chocolate yule log.
9. Do you like mince pies?
Nope, and I'll share a secret.. I used to thin mince pies actually had actual mince in them. Yes, I'm slightly blonde.
10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or recieving them better?
I honestly love both sides of things. I love spoiling everyone and seeing their faces when they open their presents, but who doesn't like recieving them back?
11. What would be your dream place to visit over Christmas?
Dubai or Australia. Purely because a hot country on Christmas day sounds like a nice alternative to freezing cold England. Australia, because it's completely opposite seasons to here and would be rather cool to see and/or having a bbq'd Christmas lunch.
12. What are your favourite holiday colours?
Red and gold.
13. Are you a pro at present wrapping or do you fail miserably?
Hahah, I swear this changes for every present. Some seem to end up perfectly wrapped whilst others I just run out of wrapping paper or sellotape or something. They seem to look alright in the end though.
Are you looking forward to Christmas this year? I tag anyone who reads this to give this tag ago, I'd love to read your own replies.

Mid-week Favourite No 3: Louise Young LY34

The Louise Young LY34 foundation brush is a brush I have lusted after for so long now, and finally gave into three months ago now. It really is the perfect brush.
It is larger than your average size foundation brush making application nice and speedy, perfect for those rushed mornings - but it also applies the product smoothly and leaves no trace of brush marks.
The brush is domed shaped, and has replaeced my beloved Real Techniques ever since purchasing. I love how smoothly and easily it applies my foundation. I definitely think it's not just a mid-week favourite, but one of my favourite beauty finds this year.
Have you tried the Louise Young LY34 brush yet? What's your favourite beauty finds at the moment?
