Empties from the last few months.

mixed beauty empties

Okay, I am just going to warn you now this is going to be a very long empties post. I have been building up a collection over the last few months for this post. It doesn't include things like shower gels, haircare and face creams as I tend to throw these away as I use them and didn't think they'd be as exciting to share. Anyway, let's get on with it.

foundation empties

First up is base products. The No 7 Brilliantly Bare Beauty Enhancer is a much loved primer of mine, and the only primer from the drugstore to actually make a difference to my makeup stay time. Unfortunately as my skin got drier I found the product to be less effective and have now switched back to my other favourite; the Laura Mercier Primer. Would I repurchase? No, as my skins changed but I am sure I will eventually.

Next is a product you are probably bored of me talking about, the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I won't say too much as you've heard it all before if you read my blog regularly, but this is essentially an amazing tinted gel at providing a light coverage that actually conceals my redness, and is also incredible moisturising. Would I repurchase? I already have, it was featured alongside my current favourite foundations here.

I have also used up the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation, another base I really enjoyed using. It provides a light to medium coverage and creates a gorgeous glowy effect. Would I repurchase? Happily, it's a great foundation - see my review here.

The last foundation I have finally used up is The Body Shop Extra Virgin Minerals foundation. This is a cream foundation that provides a full coverage finish. I didn't really like the finish of this when using a brush as I found it too full coverage for me, but when using a sponge I found it was much more manageable. Unfortunately the foundation has since been discontinued, but would I repurchase it if I could? Probably not.

I've also used up quite a few concealers recently, the first being three Soap & Glory Kick Ass Blur and Brighten Crayon Concealer -  can you guess I love this product. It is a concealer with great coverage and staying power, weirdly it reminds me of the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Would I repurchase? Definitely.

The Body Shop Lightening Touch Concealer is another much loved concealer, one I love using to brighten up my under eye area. It has an instant effect and the one I always go to when I want to quickly brighten up the eye area. Would I repurchase? I already have.

The last concealer to make the empties post is a product I didn't love to start with but I am really missing now I'm without it - the Urban Decay Naked Concealer. I love the consistency, the light product, the great coverage and the amazing doe applicator. A full review will be on the blog soon, so keep your eyes pealed. Would I repurchase? Of course.

mascara empties

Now it's time for the mascara section, I swear mascaras are one item of makeup I seem to go through far quicker than anything else.

L'Oreal have to be my favourite brand for mascaras, I've never tried one I don't like. The first mascara from L'oreal I have used up is the L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara - a mascara great for adding volume to your lashes. It has a funky brush that looks slightly scary but works great without clumping up my lashes. Would I repurchase? Yes.

Next up is another number from L'Oreal - the L'Oreal False Lash Flutter Mascara. I love the brush on this one as it is has a fine tooth but it is also slightly wider one end, which I find helps ensure I coat the whole length of my longer lashes with ease. Would I repurchase? Again, yes.

The L'Oreal Waterpoof False Lash Architect is another mascara from L'Oreal to make the empties pile; I told you I love L'Oreal's mascaras. I brought this one purely because it was waterproof and a member of the False Lash Mascara family. I again love the brush on this one but found it provided a far less obvious look, to me it wasn't a very false lash look at all, but still an awesome mascara. Would I repurchase? Probably not as there's others I know I love more.

I've also used up a mascara from Essence, the Essence Maximum Definition Mascara. I won't say too much about this one as I have just written a full post on the mascara recently, which you can find here, but what I will say is this very much reminds me of my favourite ever mascara - the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara. Would I repurchase? Definitely!

The last mascara I have used up recently is actually a clear mascara I used to set my eyebrows - the Collection Colour Lash Mascara in Clear. I don't have much to say about this other than it did it's job, held my eyebrows in place and lasted me forever. Would I repurchase? Yes.

Another brow gel to make the empties pile is the Essence Lash and Brow Gel. Again this brow gel just works; I do love and prefer the smaller brush on this product as it helps ensure I don't waste too much product each use. The actual lid to the product can be a tad annoying though, it breaks so easily, I have another tube of this which has also broken, but would I repurchase? Yes, I already have.

A nail polish I love for it's awesome strengthening powers which I have used up is the Rimmel Double Duty Base Coat. I love how this strengthens my nails after a couple of uses - it has been my favourite strengthening for years now.  Would I repurchase? I already have.

I have also used up a mini Benefit Porefessional, a beauty product much loved by many. I do really enjoy using this but it is one I have never had the urge to buy a full size as I'm quite happy with other primers, that I believe do a slightly better job. Would I repurchase? Probably, if I couldn't get hold of my Laura Mercier Primer.

A brow product I used to use constantly has also made the empties box. The Collection Eyebrow Definer is a twistable eyebrow pencil with a fine tip great for defining your brows. It is a product that really impressed me, and considering the few shades  their blonde shade is perfect for my brows. Would I repurchase? Yes.

Ahh, and now we are on to the final group of products - random used up beauty products.

The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine EDT is a perfume with a strong evening scent that unsuprisingly has hints of jasmine within it. I love the longevity in which the scent lingers on my skin for. Would I repurchase? This is another one where I already have.

I also used up the Indeed Labs Hydraluron Moisture Jelly - a product I loved the idea of but never really fell in love with. I love the application method of pressing the lid down but found the gel formula just sat on my skin and struggled to sink in, I much prefer my usual The Body Shop Vitamin E range. Would I repurchase? No.

Lastly is a product I honestly don't think I could live without - the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I love how flawlessly this not only applies my makeup but leaves it looking. It really is a product well worth trying if you haven't already. Would I repurchase? I already have.

And there we have it, my empties from the last few months - if you managed to get through all that and are still with me then I think you may just deserve a medal.

Have you tried any of my empties? Do you tend to repurchase products when you do run out or buy different products?
