5 lipsticks I can't stop wearing.

Lipsticks are one of those products that can completely change a look in an instant, whether it's a neutral lip colour or a much brighter pink, red or even purple. Today I thought I would share with you the 5 lipsticks I can't stop wearing lately.

First up is The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in the shade 03. This is a lipstick completely different to what I usually go for, a glittery pink shade that completely brightens up any makeup look. I love wearing it in the Spring/Summer to add that extra bit of colour. As always from The Body Shop lipsticks, the formula is smooth ensuring it is easy to apply and lasts about 2-3 hours before needing a touch-up.

Next up is the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in shade 03. This is a gorgeous deep pink shade with hints of red (see my full review here). The formula is incredibly long-lasting, but still very comfortable on the lips. Again this is a great one for injecting a bit of extra colour into your makeup.

The Clinique Pop Lip Colour and Primer in the shade Cherry Pop is another one I can't stop wearing. This lipstick is an incredibly moisturising formula, and one that doesn't cling to any dry patches if you're like me and sometimes struggle with dry lips. The shade itself is a deep red with strong tones of dark pink mixed in. The lipstick also seems to last a bit longer than your average lipstick too, which I love. (See my review here.)

The H&M Lip Colour in the shade Powder Puff is another lipstick to make my top 5, but this time a shade more on the neutral side of things. It is a gorgeous light pink shade, the my lips but better shade. I love how moisturising the formula feels on my lips but unfortunately do find the formula doesn't last very long and wears off near enough as soon as I have a drink.

The last lipstick I can't stop wearing is another one from the Clinique Pop Lip Colour and Primer collection, this time in the shade Melon Pop. The shade of this one is another neutral one, one I can only describe as a peach pink. Again the formula is very moisturising and very comfortable on the lips. I would love to own every shade from this collection, that's how good they are!

What lipsticks have you been loving lately? Have you tried any of the ones I've mentioned?

P.s. There is actually a new lipstick that has been added to my collection which I can't stop wearing; one I will be sharing with you all very shortly, so keep an eye out.

A working day daily makeup routine.

daily working makeup routine

Lately I have been finding I reach for the same makeup products on a daily basis, so today I thought I would share with you my daily makeup routine on a working day.

My go-to base is most definitely the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, a product I could rave about every single day it is that good. I love the light glowy look it provides whilst still providing coverage. I then go in with my concealer around my nose and under my eyes - at the moment I am using the Rimmel Match Perfect Skin Tone Adapting Concealer, a concealer which provides great coverage and lasts really well.

Next up is eyebrows; I always use the Benefit Brow Zings and follow by setting them with the Essence Lash and Brow Mascara - the perfect combination for natural and defined brows.

As for eyeshadow there are two eyeshadows I tend to switch between; the Urban Decay in Sin or H&M High Impact Solo Eyeshadow in Papaya Ice. The Urban Decay shadow is a soft white/beige shimmer, whilst the H&M shadow is a peach/orange shimmer shade (see my review here).

To finish off the look I always give my face a quick brush over with the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light - the most amazing powder ever! (I wrote a mini review in my February favourites here). Lastly I pop the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara on my lashes to create a voluminous lengthening look (see my review here).

This creates the perfect everyday look for me. I also like to add some lipstick but this varies which is why I haven't included it above.

What makeup have you been using on an everyday basis? Is there a product I need to try?

Valentines // Our Two Year Anniversary.

two year anniversary

About a month ago me and the man, Luke, celebrated our two years together so today I wanted to share a few pictures from us celebrating our anniversary and a mini review of the three course meal we had.

To start the celebrations we watched a burlesque cabaret and had some cocktails the night before. The cabaret we watched was in Southampton at the Stage Door; it was utterly hilarious and a lot of fun. For cocktails we of course headed to our favourite place, Turtle Bay, and had a couple of rounds.

For our first round Luke had two Reggae Rum Punch's and I had two Passion Rum Punch's making the most of the 2-4-1. Both drinks have a distinct rum taste, but with a hint of something else; they are so, so good. If you haven't already and you are ever about in Southampton I definitely recommend checking out Turtle Bay.

The next day we both dressed up smart and went out for a three course meal. After looking at set menu's everywhere and finding them very limited (because we're very fussy) we decided to head back to an old favourite - Prezzo, as this is where we went for one of our very first dates!

For our starters he had the Mozzarella in Carrozza, a cheese in breadcrumbs dish with a side of pomodoro sauce. This was unsurprisingly a cheesy dish, with the cheese being stretchy and blending well with the breadcrumbs.

I went for the Baked Mushrooms, essentially baby mushrooms stuffed with bella lodi, cheese, garlic and mushrooms, then sprinkled with breadcrumbs. These were absolutely amazing but disappeared off my plate within seconds. I would describe them as incredibly soft with a tang to the taste.

As for the main course the man went for Fusilli Alla Rusticana - the one we both normally always go for. This is a tomato and cream pasta dish with the addition of chicken, peppers, rosemary and pancetta. It has quite a sweet taste for pasta, with the peppers adding something extra.

I decided to go for something a bit different and went for the Roasted Pork Belly - a piece of pork in a marsala wine sauce with mushrooms, broad beans and mash potato on the side. The pork was amazing - so tender with the sauce complementing it really well. Unfortunately I found the mash potato very drying so only had a couple of spoonfuls.

For dessert we wanted our favourite, the Honeycomb Smash Cheesecake, but they were out of stock so we went for the Vanilla Cheesecake and Nutella Spread and Banana Mini Calzone. The Vanilla Cheesecake was very sweet, and had a caramel sauce to add something extra. The Mini Calzones were sweet, but not quite my cup of tea. The Honeycomb Smash Cheesecake is still number one for  now, and one I recommend you all try if you haven't already.

All in all, we both really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. They had heart balloons around the restaurant as it was Valentines weekend - I even snuck one home with me, and amazingly it is still up in our living room!

It was an amazing night, and it was so nice to have a couple of days off together.

Have you been to a Turtle Bay or Prezzo? What is your favourite drink or dish?

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani blusher palette review.

urban decay gwen stefani blush palette review

The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani blusher palette is a product for any beauty lover to full in love with. It was the one thing I really really wanted from the entire Urban Decay Gwen Stefani range, and I was lucky enough to be surprised by my boyfriend purchasing it for me for our anniversary.

The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani blusher palette contains six shades ranging from blushers to bronzers to highlighters using the same Afterglow formula as the Urban Decay regular Afterglow blushes. They are designed to be long-lasting and feel lightweight on the skin.

The shades themselves include two blushers, three highlighters and a matte bronzer. The two blushers, Cherry and Easy, are light pink and a deep rose pink respectively. The highlighters include Angel - a champagne toned nude, Hush - a pink toned shade with gold glitter and OC - a soft pink peach with a slight orange tone. The bronzer, Lo-fi, is a matte bronzer with no orange-ness in site.

Having always been able to trust their eyeshadows, and more recently their concealer I had high hopes for this product, and all I can say is Urban Decay have more than succeeded. Every single shade is amazing, I especially love Easy for its gorgeous dusky pink shade, and OC as it is a highlighter like nothing I own - it also works well as a blusher. The pigment is impressive, and the lasting time too.

If there is one thing you pick up from Urban Decay's collaboration with Gwen Stefani I recommend you pick up the blusher palette.

Have you got your eyes on this collection? What else do I n-e-e-d from the collaboration?

5 products to get you that glowy look!

how to glowy look

Now that it is starting to get ever so slightly warmer I am lusting after that glowy look. Today I thought I would share with you my 5 go-to products to get that glowy look.

glow makeup look

First up is a relatively new product to me - the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dimlight. This is a setting powder that adds the most flawless natural glow to your skin, it adds light in all the right places without turning you into a disco ball. The shade I have is yellow toned too so is great for keeping any redness at bay.

The Body Shop Lightning Touch is the next product I go to to get that glowy look. It is a concealer with light-diffusing particles within, that instantly make your skin look awake once applied. I love using it on top of my regular concealer in the corners of my eyes for a swift transformation. The Body Shops also now sells these in a universal radiance shade, perfect for using as a highlighter alongside the concealer shades.

The next product I always turn to is the Revolution One Blush Stick in Matte Dream. This is a blusher in a stick form with a cream formula. The shade may say matte, but this still provides the most natural glow to your cheeks - it really is a product you need to try if you like the glowy look.

A firm favourite of mine since its launch is the MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder. This highlighting powder is a pink toned shade with a shimmer throughout, I love using it on the tops of my cheeks and along my nose - I even pop some on my forehead if I am going all out.

Lastly is a product I like adding to my base to start off that glowy look - the MUA Undress Your Skin Illuminating Glow. It is the perfect product to add something extra to your base without being over the top. I love using this on its own and with all the other products I have mentioned if I am looking for a full-on glowy look.

What products do you like to use when creating 'that glowy look'?

Beauty Wishlist.

beauty wishlist

It's the beginning of the month, its just been payday, it is time to share with you all what's at the top of my wishlist lately.

1) Lancome Hydra Zen Beauty Essence - A product I can't seem to find online in a UK store but a product I really need in my life after seeing Estee Lalonde mention it in her February favourites. I love the fact that it is said to provide intense moisturisation whilst still being incredibly light in texture. It sounds amazing and perfect for my skin.

2) Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Ex Girlfriend £16 - The lipstick I wanted from the first moment I saw a swatch, it really looks like the perfect nude. It would also look very nice with the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blusher palette I already own.

3) SensatioNail Polish to Gel Starter Kit £34.99 - Having always wanted to try a gel kit but being reluctant due to needing the matching nail polishes, I love that this kit will work with my rather massive collection of nail polishes I already own. I love the idea of my manicures lasting longer too.

4) Morphe Brushes 35T eyeshadow palette £18.25 - Ever since seeing this palette first mentioned on Jasmine Talks Beauty I have lusted after it. From the warm browns to the plum colours this is a completely Kristy palette 100%.

5) Real Techniques Brush Cleansing Palette £12.99 - Washing my brushes is never going to be my favourite task but this cleansing palette looks like it could make this tedious job a whole lot easier. It is definitely something I'd love to give a go.

5) Pixi Glow Mud Mask £18 - Mud masks have always been my favourite type of face masks, and I have wanted to try the brand Pixi for a while now so of course the Pixi Glow Mud Mask had to make the wishlist.

What have you been lusting after lately? What do I need to add to my next beauty wishlist?
