Four disappointing beauty products.

disappointing beauty

There are so many beauty products in the blogging community that are very hyped, with many living up to the hype, but there are always a few after purchasing, that I personally don't find are worth the hype. So, today I thought I would share with you four disappointing beauty products.

l'oreal infallible kiehls micro-blur

First up is the Kiehl's Micro-Blur Skin Perfector, a skin smoother designed to visibly reduce pores and refine skin texture immediately, and permanently over time. I do find the skin perfector to smoothen my skin's texture, but it does nothing for my pores and when I wear makeup over the top I find it just doesn't last when using this. I know this isn't mentioned as something the product does, but if I am applying it as an extra step before my makeup then I want it too, or I would like it to at least keep my makeup on for the same time as usual.

Another product that was highly hyped and is still very popular is the L'Oreal Infallible 24 hour matte foundation. The foundation is designed to last incredibly well with a matte finish, as the name suggests, but it just doesn't work for me. When I first apply this foundation I do love the finish, but unfortunately it is a foundation that I just don't find lasts on my skin at all. I have found this with some other L'Oreal foundations, so I am not sure if this could be to do with an ingredient in some of their foundations that my skin doesn't like.

barry m lip kit too faced better than sex

The most recent disappointing beauty product from this list is the Barry M Lip Kit in Pose. I brought this lip kit after reading several reviews and falling in love with the colour but unfortunately this formula and colour just doesn't work for me. I find the liquid lipstick to flake very quickly on my lips, and the colour is too pale for me. However, I do love the lip liner in this kit so all is not lost.

The last beauty product I wanted to mention is the much loved Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, a mascara I wanted to love but I just don't, no matter how many times I try to convince myself otherwise. I find the brush is incredibly large and fiddly to use, and the formula doesn't provide me with the amount of volume I look for from my mascara. I much prefer my L'Oreal mascaras.

What beauty products have you found disappointing and not worth the hype? Have you had a different experience to me with the products I've mentioned?
