May beauty favourites

Wow, I can't believe we are now in June and I am here typing up my latest favourites post. Let's just hope June means the sun is here to stay.

May beauty favourites

First up is a product I have been using literally every day, The Body Shop Contouring Palette, which I first mentioned here. The bronzing and contouring shades are perfect for my super pale skin. The bronzing shade manages to add a bit of colour without making me look orange, and the contouring shade just adds the perfect shadow without looking muddy. I have been loving using these two shades daily. I really like the blusher and highlighting shades too, but I haven't been exclusively using them which leads me onto my next favourite.

The Mac Powder Blusher in the shade melba is a beautiful coral shade with peach tones within. I picked this up in a super spendy high-end haul and I have been loving it as an every day blusher. It just adds that something extra to your skin and I love that it is completely matte. It also lasts incredibly well on my skin.

Face mists and setting sprays are very popular in the beauty world, but something I hadn't really tried until I picked up the NYX Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray. Over the last month I have been using this spray most days and I love the finish it provides. I wouldn't say that it is a fully dewy finish, but it definitely stops your makeup from being completely flat. It ensures everything looks seamless in a matter of seconds, and helps with lasting power.

Colourpop favourites

Next up is Colourpop, a brand I found incredibly difficult to not only include their products in my favourites post. My first order arrived at the very beginning of the month and began my obsession.

The first product I had to include was the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in the shade schnookums, a gorgeous pink toned red. I not only love the shade but I also love the formula. Liquid lipsticks are something I have only got into recently due to the struggle of them drying out my dry lips even more, but this liquid lipstick isn't drying at all. It feels incredibly comfortable on the lips. I am in love, and I really want to try more.

The other product I had to include was from my second order and is the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in the shade crenshaw. This was a colour I chose last minute and for some reason wasn't expecting to like it. I read a lot of reviews where people raved about this colour and they are all completely right. This is a gorgeous warm matte brown shade that is perfect in the crease and works with so many eye looks. I cannot stop reaching for this shade.

Urban Decay finger brush

Where my eye lids have been getting oilier over the last few months, an eyeshadow primer is something I have been reaching for much more frequently. The NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer is the one I have been reaching for. I have been finding it makes such a difference and completely prevents creasing. I'm not sure if it really makes my eyeshadow last longer, but I have been loving it all the same.

The final two products I had to mention are both eye brushes, the Urban Decay Finger Brush and the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I picked up both brushes with the idea that the dense bristles might work well with the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows, and I am so glad I did. The Urban Decay Finger Brush really does act like your finger and works amazingly to apply one of the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows across my entire eye lids. On the other hand, the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush works perfectly to pick up the shadow for the crease, and blend out any eyeshadows in general. I am in love with both brushes, and I can't believe I haven't tried the Real Techniques one before.

What have you been trying this month? Have you tried any of the products I have mentioned?
