Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious review

The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm, a much raved about product on its launch. I would describe it as a lipstick that is shaped like a pencil but doesn’t need sharpening, you twist it up. I won’t go into too much detail as I’m sure you have all heard of the product I’m talking about.
The colour I purchased is Audacious. The best way I would describe this colour is burnt orange. It has tinges of red within but is generally a bright orange colour, perfect for the Spring and Summer seasons.
So, what do I think? I love the colour and the formula. It applies easily and smoothly, without attaching itself to any dry patches. This impressed me as sometimes matte products do tend to cling to the dry patches. I like to use the product with Mac’s Prep & Prime lip to prolong the stay power, but have used the product without and it applies the same way: easily and smoothly.
As to the staying power, I find the product is pretty amazing for a lip product. It lasts 5-6 hours easily before needing a touch up. The pointed twist up design makes it easy to touch up without a mirror as well, yet another positive.
I’m definitely glad I gave in and made the purchase. If you’re looking for a lip crayon the Revlon Colorburst collection are definitely worth considering. I know I’m already considering making a purchase of a couple of other colours.

Just a heads up, tomorrows post will be a review on the Clinique All About Shadow 8-pan palette. Yes, I’ve finally gotten around to writing it.
