What’s in my weekend makeup bag?

So seen as I told you all about the new makeup bag I brought, I thought I’d share with you what is actually regularly in it.

First off I’m going to start off with base products. I’ve been using the Bourjois 123 perfect CC cream on an every day basis so this was an obvious choice. Next up is my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer; a great light-weight concealer that’s great at getting rid of those pesky black eyes, followed by the Soap & Glory Trick and Treatment concealer to help brighten the area. I also always like to have my trusty Seventeen Phwoarr Paint concealer on me as well. I know this is a third concealer, but its slightly heavier coverage so its perfect for any sudden spot emergencies. As to my final base product this would have to be The Body Shop’s All in One Face base. I love the handy container it comes in, and use it to set my CC cream on the forehead, chin and nose areas. Another base product that I forgot to photograph before I realised and my camera went bananas, is the amazing Bourjois Paris Java rice – the product I use to help set my under-eye concealer.

Next up is eye products, I’ll start off with the eyebrows. My current go-to has to be Sleek Makeup’s Brow Stylist so this made my weekend makeup bag. To go alongside this I can’t forget my ASDA clear mascara. I brought this as I didn’t see the point in buying a specific brow gel so thought for the price this couldn’t hurt. Turns out, it does the job amazingly well and keeps my brows set for the whole day. As to eyeshadows the palette that made the cut was the Clinique All About Shadow 8-pan palette, and for the lashes it’s always the YSL Babydoll mascara currently.

As to cheeks I popped my current two most used blushes, both weirdly of a similar coral shade. One’s Bourjois Paris’ cream blush, and the other is The Body Shop All in One cheek colour (a powder blush). For highlighting in went my MUA Undress Your Skin highlighter, the perfect budget light pink highlighter. And for contouring it had to be my Bourjois Paris’ bronzing powder.

Last up is lips, here for a change the choices were easy for me. My newly purchased Revlon Colorstay matte balm in Audacious had to be in the bag, a lovely orange colour that is so needed for this Spring season. I also added my Revlon lip butter in shade Peach Parfait as a less intense alternate.

What would make your weekend/travel makeup bag?
