My 25th birthday holiday to Prague!

A couple of weeks a go it was my birthday, and I was very lucky that a short trip away to Prague was my birthday present from my other half, Luke. Today I thought I would share a short post on our holiday, but I will warn you now, this is going to be a picture heavy post.

We went away for three nights, and had two full days to explore the city and walk a considerable amount of steps. The first day alone we walked 30,000 steps, wandering around finding various sites and tourist attractions.

After we were finished with our exploring for the day, we headed off to find some food and found the most amazing Italian restaurant, Pizza Nuova, with very authentic tasting pizzas. The pizzas were definitely on par with pizza’s I have eaten in Italy.

I even had a mini chocolate fondue with strawberries for pudding, which was similarly amazing.

Our second day in Prague was spent searching for views, climbing hills and discovering Prague’s version of the Eiffel Tower aka Petrin Tower.

After another fantastic day, we headed off to find a rum cocktail bar we found on trip advisor; La Casa de la Havana Vieja, to celebrate my birthday. I didn’t feel quite posh enough to be there but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the cocktails. As it was a rum bar the cocktails were very different to standard cocktails, and me being fussy I wasn’t sure at first but oh my, their cocktails were amazing.

When we headed back to our hotel after dinner I was shocked, our hotel had surprised us with cake, champagne and a card for my birthday. We hadn’t even told them, so it was such a nice, unexpected surprise to come back too.

Overall, I had such an amazing time, if you haven’t visited Prague before I definitely recommend it for a short break. I will always remember Prague by the architecture and all the orange roofs. It is an incredibly beautiful city.

Have you been to Prague before? Do you have any holidays planned this year?
