I may be writing this as it pours down with rain outside but it is technically Spring, so as far as I am concerned it is time for all your glowy products to come out. Although, I personally quite like quite a glowy look all year round. So, enough rambling from me, today I have put together a group of 5 products that I think you need to give a try to get that glowy look.
The first product is the extraordinarily pricey but amazing Hourglass Surreal Light Ambient Lighting Edit. The palette contains five powders including a powder, two blushers, a bronzer and a highlighter, all of which add that subtle glow to your face. I find they just add that something extra that really catches the light, and I love using the entire palette to create a beautiful glowy look. I always think these palettes from Hourglass are expensive, but I do find Hourglass powders take a long time before you hit pan. I have a separate full size ambient lighting powder that took me a good year before I hit pan, and it is still going.
The other palette I had to include was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in sundipped. The palette contains four highlighters of varying tones which add such an amazing glow to the face. I only picked up this palette very recently but I am already loving it. I can’t get over the amount of pigment each of the different shades provide and the intense highlight they add to the skin. They take highlighting to the extreme, but if you like your glow and highlight this is something you will probably love.
Next up is something a little more on the budget end of the spectrum, the NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray. I first mentioned this here and find it is the perfect product to end your routine with. It ensures your makeup lasts, takes away any powdery-ness, and adds more dewy-ness to your look. It also ensures any highlight you have added still shines through, and helps stop any matte foundations from looking completely flat.
The NARS Illuminator in the shade orgasm is another product I think you need for that glowy look. This was a product I first tried in 2014, immediately fell in love with, but have only recently picked up a new tube. I love mixing this in with my foundation to give it that extra glow and find it really does make a noticeable difference. I have tried it as a primer too which has a similar effect, and if you’re not quite as super pale as me I’m sure it would work great as a highlighter too.
The final product is a much newer one to my collection and I have actually only had a couple of weeks, but as it has been my go to inner corner highlight every day since then I had to include it. It is the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in the shade Valley Girl, a white shade with a slight gold sheen throughout. I find this just makes the perfect inner corner eye highlight and completes any look. If you are thinking of making a Colourpop order this shade is definitely worth a look.
