An outfit of the day at the National Trust Mottisfont.
A couple of weeks ago me and the other half decided to make the most of a sunny day and headed to the National Trust Mottisfont. It actually rained on our journey there, but luckily it brightened up again by the time we arrived.
Mottisfont Abbey is a beautiful large country house set in gorgeous river side gardens full of blooming flowers, ancient trees, and extremely large areas of lawn.
I love anything and anywhere with pretty views, and Mottisfont is great for that. It is super relaxing to wander around or to just stop and take it all in. Visiting more National Trust places is definitely something I want to do.
Mottisfont is also well known for their rose gardens, which weren’t quite in bloom yet, but I did manage to get a few little shots.
How beautiful are the roses?
Whilst we were at Mottisfont I decided to make the most of the pretty scenery, and persuaded the other half to take a few outfit shots for me, dressed in one of my favourite summery outfits at the moment.
One of my favourite outfits is simply pairing a more detailed bottom half with a very basic strappy top. The shoestring strap cami top I have worn here is a grey one from New Look that only costs £2.99. I have a few of these as they are so cheap, and the fit and quality is really nice too.
I have been enjoying pairing the grey strap cami top with this amazing detailed embroidery skirt, also from New Look. I actually picked this skirt up in the sale so you might not be able to find it, but they do have similar embroidered skirts available.
I love the shape of this skirt and the fact that it doesn’t just go out at the back, which I find looks unflattering on myself. However, my favourite part is the embroidery, I adore the detailing and it is a skirt I have been reaching for a lot since purchasing.
I like to complete a lot of my summer looks with a pair of sandals, my favourite’s at the moment being these black sandals I recently picked up for £19.99, also from New Look. I love the cross strap design that adds something a little bit different to a straight across strap. They are suede with a block heel, providing me the height I love but while still being incredibly comfy to walk in.
What’s your favourite outfit at the moment? Have you visited any National Trust places?
