I can’t believe it is going to be August in a few days time, once again I can’t believe it’s the end of the month. July has been a crazy month, with a dream holiday to Thailand and getting engaged; it has been an incredibly exciting and amazing month. Anyway, it’s time for me to share with you all my July favourites.
Last month I mentioned that I picked up the Urban Decay Heat palette, which I was loving, but oh my god I have completely fallen for this palette. It has 12 gorgeous warm tone shades including some stunning metallic shades. I have been using every single shade, something that can be hard to find in eyeshadow palettes. All of the shades are incredibly pigmented too, it is literally a dream palette. If you want to read more, I recently wrote a review here.
The next product is one from Colourpop, of course, because I can’t seem to write a favourites post without mentioning the brand. The Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Alyssa is one I haven’t stopped wearing this month, in fact it is on my lips right now. It is a gorgeous dusty nude rose shade, the perfect nude. Being a nude shade it pairs with most makeup looks too, definitely one I recommend if you happen to be making a Colourpop order.
The Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in the shade Bitch Perfect has been the other lipstick I’ve been wearing, when I haven’t had the Colourpop one on my lips. It is another nude one, but this one is much more peachy. The formula is incredibly creamy and lasts really well, it is a definite love for me.
Another product I have been loving is The Body Shop Baked-To-Last-Bronzer. This bronzer is usually a little dark for me but as I am currently tanned it is the perfect shade. I love using it to bronze up my skin even more, but I have also been using it as a blusher, creating an incredibly bronzed look. I really like the formula of this, and it lasts really well too.
The Lush Lip Scrubs are another product I had to include. The one pictured is Sugar Plum Fairy, but I also have the the Bubblegum lip scrub sitting on my desk at work. My lips get incredibly dry really easily and these have been a life saviour this last month. They instantly get rid of any dead skin leaving a smoother lip ready for a lip product, and they also taste really good too, even if you’re not supposed to eat them!
Lastly is another product which has been a life saviour this month – The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid. On holiday the heat in Thailand was incredibly intense and this really dried my skin out, so this product has really helped ensure my moisturiser provides the maximum amount of moisture possible. Weirdly, I also used this alongside a moisturiser on the top part of my back and my shoulders on holiday and the results were incredible. My skin was also really dry here so I tried it randomly, but by morning my skin felt so much better. I ended up using it this way for the rest of my holiday after the discovery.
What have you been loving lately? Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned?
