I realise it is now August but I finally gave in and re-started my subscription for Love Me Beauty and I had to share the bits I picked up. Love Me Beauty is the only monthly subscription beauty box I have ever been subscribed too, but I did cancel it nearly two years ago now after finding it repetitive. After seeing several months of great products and a new credit system I decided I would try it again.
The bonus of the new credit system also means that you can still get hold of some of the items I mention, as products are now stocked until Love Me Beauty are out of stock of that particular item.
The first product I picked up was the Eco Tools Skin Perfecting brush, a foundation brush designed to create an airbrushed finish. I’ve wanted to try a slanted foundation brush for a while and I’m so glad I picked this one up. I thought it would only provide a light coverage but I find it easily creates a medium coverage base, and it is then buildable. The slanted edge makes it so easy to fit into all of the curved areas, like your nose, easily too. It is the first makeup brush I’ve tried from Eco Tools and it has definitely made we want to try more.
When I re-subscribed I used a discount code which meant I also got the Eco Tools Perfecting Blender duo as an additional free product. These are sponges I’ve actually wanted to try for a while and are what made me re-subscribe. The duo are designed to be used together to create a camera-ready look. I’m not sure if they quite do that but I have been really enjoying using them both. They apply my base with ease, with the slanted edges an added bonus. I tend to use the larger sponge with my foundation, followed by the smaller sponge with my concealer, which works fantastically.
The Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Daily Cleansing Pads are another product that I have wanted to try for so long, so I absolutely loved that these were available for me to pick. I actually haven’t used these yet as I’m a little scared I’m going to love them and have to purchase the full pack, but I can’t wait to try them. They are said to be radiance boosting pads and sound like exactly what my skin needs, I’m all for radiant skin, I mean who isn’t?
The bright pink Nails Inc Nailkale Nail Polish in the shade Crombie News caught my attention immediately. I have an obsession with pink at the moment so this seemed like something I had to have. The nail polish is also full of super-boosting ingredients designed to create healthy-looking nails. I can’t comment on this as I haven’t noticed anything different in the formula, but I have worn this already and absolutely adore the shade. With my Seche Vite top coat I found that the nail polish lasted about 5 days before chipping, but even this was only around the edges on all but one nail, which had a larger chip. I might have to pick up a few more at some point.
The last product I went for was the Nuxe Gelee Exfoliante Douce, a gentle exfoliating gel. I haven’t tried this one yet, but I don’t currently have a face exfoliator in my collection, and now that I am getting more into my skincare I thought that this would be the perfect time to give this a go. I love the fact that it is rose scented too.
I am so glad I re-subscribed and I am really impressed with July’s selection. I’ve subscribed for two more months so I can’t wait to see August and September’s selections. Have you tried Love Me Beauty before? Are you subscribed to any beauty boxes?
