If you have read my last two posts then you might have a slight idea that I went to Thailand last month, and visited the Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, but, I also picked up a few beauty bits so today I thought I would share with you my Thailand beauty haul. I mainly picked up face sheet masks after getting a tad exciting by the amount available, but I did also pick up one makeup item.
The first shop I spotted was Beauty Buffet in the Jungceylon shopping centre in Patong. From researching previously I had heard of the Scientio face masks which was what I was looking for here, and I ended up picking four. The first one I went for was the Scientio Beauty Program Serum Mask. As there are a lot of whitening masks available and they are very popular in Thailand I had to pick one up. This one is designed to brighten skin for a radiant and clarified complexion.
I also picked up the Scientio Puffiness Fade Away Eye Mask Sheet, a mask designed to help reduce puffiness funnily enough. It is also meant to revitalize tired eyes and firm the skin area around the eye. I have terrible dark circles and often wake up with puffy eyes so I can’t wait to see if this works. It contains snail secretion, cucumber, aloe vera, and collagen.
I also picked up two of the Scientio Tomato Radiance Mask Sheets. As soon as I spotted the word radiance I knew I had to try these. I’ve actually used one of these already and I have to admit it really did brighten my complexion, it seemed to lift my entire face too. I’m kind of gutted I now only have one left.
My next stop was the supermarket as I’d heard they always have a super large collection of face masks, and they definitely did. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much choice!
The first masks I picked up were the Purederm masks, both of which I have already used and love. My favourite would have to be the Aloe Collagen Mask as this not only added extra moisture and made my skin bouncier, it also completely got rid of any red-ness. I’ve never experienced this before, and definitely want to try more aloe masks now. The Honey Essence Mask was lovely too. There was definitely a noticeable difference, with my skin left more moisturised and feeling plumper too.
My skin often gets dry so I love overnight masks too and had to pick up the Facy Tofu Overnight Mask Pack when I spotted it. There isn’t any English on the mask other than instructions and the ingredients, but I am hoping this works similarly to the Origins Overnight Mask and provides intense moisture.
I went a bit crazy for the eye masks I spotted too, after realising they cost the equivalent of about a £1. They are the Baby Bright Aloe Vera & Fresh Collagen Eye Masks, designed to reduce the visible appearance of dark circles and puffiness, and also soothe tired eyes to reduce stress and fatigue. I have already used two sets of these and I can honestly say I am completely in love. They are as good as my beloved Sephora Pomegranate eye masks, if not better, I really, really wished I picked up even more!
I also picked up 3 masks from Milatte, none of which I have tried yet. The ones I went for were the Aloe Mask, Collagen Mask and the Snail Mask. The Aloe Mask aims to soothe, heal and rejuvenate, the Collagen Mask to restore moisture, elasticity, reduce lines and diminish signs of ageing, and the Snail Mask to restore hydration, elasticity and skin firmness.
The final mask I picked up was the Tony Moly Magic Massage Pack. This is a cream designed to detoxify and brighten the complexion. I was hoping to pick up a few more masks from Tony Moly but this was actually the only mask I could find in Phuket, but I can’t wait to give this one ago.
Lastly, I couldn’t complete a beauty haul without picking up any makeup in Thailand so I did pick up one item from the Thailand Boots, a Mistine 4 Queen Multi Lip Colour. The concept of this lipstick is what got me, the red shade on the end is the actual shade of the lipstick, while the white part lightens the shade, the black darkens and the gold section adds gloss to create a shiny lipstick. All of the different parts connect together too! I somehow haven’t used this but I really hope it works, and will make sure to let you know.
Have you ever tried any Thailand or Asian skincare? What’s your favourite face mask?
