A couple of years ago I wrote a post talking all about my top 3 eyeshadow palettes, but as much as I still love these eyeshadow palettes, my ultimate favourites have changed slightly. There are a few newer palettes that I don’t think I could live without now, so today I thought I would share with you 5 makeup palettes I couldn’t live without.
The first palette I couldn’t write this post without won’t come as a surprise to you if you read my blog regularly and is the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. This is a palette I have spoken about many times and have reviewed, but it truly is an amazing palette. I absolutely adore the warm tone shades and how easily they apply, with Sauced, Low Blow, Dirty Talk and Scorched being my absolute favourite shades. It is a palette that I will reach for throughout the Autumn and Winter months, but will also continue using it throughout Spring and Summer.
An eyeshadow palette I don’t use enough but one that I definitely need and love is the Too Faced Natural Matte palette, the eyeshadow palette for all my matte needs. I only brought this palette earlier this year but it is the only all matte eyeshadow palette I own. The formula is so incredibly smooth and I love the mix of shades. Honey Butter, Strapless and Chocolate Cookie are my favourites.
The final eyeshadow palette has to be from Colourpop after I have become absolutely obsessed with the brand this year, and is the Colourpop Yes, Please! palette. As you will have heard me say a thousand times before about Colourpop, the formula is absolutely incredible for the price, $16. This palette reminds me of the Natasha Denona Sunset palette, and I absolutely adore the unique colours. They apply well, last well, and include a great mix of shimmery and matte shades, it’s a definite love of mine.
Moving onto face palettes, there are two absolute favourites that I really don’t think I could live without now. The first is the Hourglass Surreal Light Ambient Lighting Edit palette. Hourglass is a high-end brand that is very expensive, so when I saw this I loved the idea of being able to try quite a few products at once in one place, after loving another of Hourglass’ products. Every single shade in this palette adds the most perfect amount of glow and is really beautiful. The highlighter is a little too dark for me but I still find that I can just about get away with it, I have been reaching for this palette most days recently.
If I’m not using the Hourglass palette, The Body Shop Face Contouring Palette is the product I reach for. Again I absolutely love this palette and I really love the formula and shade choices. The contouring and bronzing shade are both perfect for my pale skin and don’t look muddy at all. I find they last all day, and if I need to be quick I can easily put together a whole look in a couple of minutes. It is definitely one I can see myself using for a long time, and would recommend to anyone.
What’s your favourite makeup palettes? Have you tried the palettes I have mentioned?
