End of year goals

End of year goals

End of year goals are something that I have been debating writing about for a while, I like writing them at the end of year, but due to the lack of blogging last year this never happened. Since I changed jobs in January I have had the time to finally focus on my blog again and have been blogging a lot more seriously since the end of February, and I have a few goals I would love to achieve by the end of the year, blog-wise, and in general life. So, here goes.

Meal plan more regularly, say Monday – Friday
Meal planning is something me and my other half have been doing much more regularly, but we’re still not sticking to this regularly. It saves so much money, and is something that we have been wanting to do for a long time. Monday to Friday provides us with the flexibility for nights where we are out as we can swap meals around without stressing, plus, we have so many recipe books that we need to get using!

Have more ‘me’ time
I am terrible at relaxing and just completely switching off from everything, even for just an hour, so this is something I really want to work on. I tend to make the time, but find myself constantly thinking and moving around rather than properly actually having my much needed ‘me’ time. I love having a long bath and pampering session on a Sunday, but I need to make sure I do this during the week too. More relaxing is definitely needed.

Have a look at all things wedding related
I got engaged in July but we’re not actually planning on getting married for quite a while yet and need to save. The one thing we do want to do is start gathering together an idea of costs as we genuinely have no idea. I know I want to design our invitations ourselves and we are also likely to organise any table decorations ourselves, but there’s a lot more we need to think about. We are looking at a venue later this month so this will be a good start, and we have accidentally found a photographer already, so this goal is already in process.

Complete Blogmas
I completed this previously back in 2015 except 1 day and it is something that I really want to do again. I love creating content and love the challenge this presents me with so know I will love doing it. I have started planning my posts already and hope to have quite a few scheduled by the time December comes along.

Focus on my social media channels
Social media channels are something that I have a love and hate relationship, but at the moment I feel like I am getting somewhere. I have been focusing a lot of energy on Pinterest and it has really shown, and already made such a difference. Numbers wise, I would like to reach 1k followers on Instagram, 1,750 on Twitter, 900 on Bloglovin, 500 on Pinterest and 100 on Facebook.

Get my Project Life up to date
Project Life is the way I like to keep memories, but I am still on 2016 so I am a tad behind. I hadn’t completed or printed any photos for 2016 a couple of months ago but I have now caught up to the end of June, but I would love to get this up to date as there are so many memories from 2017 I want to have printed but I am trying really hard to resist until I have completed last year.

Have an unbelievably amazing holiday in Iceland
2017 has been a year of holidays for us and Iceland is the last expensive holiday we will be doing for a while. I am so excited to be going and we both love to travel so I know it will be unbelievably amazing, but it’s nice to have it written as goal. It’s another dream destination and another country ticked off. P.s. We’re going at the end of this month so make sure you’re following me on Instagram to keep up with the holiday photo spam!

Do you have any 2017 goals you are hoping to achieve by the end of the year, and what are they?
