As the weather transitions into the colder Autumn and Winter months, the makeup I reach for transitions too. I tend to start creating bolder makeup looks and reaching for darker lips. That being said, today I thought I would share with you my current favourite Autumn makeup picks.

First up has to be the Smashbox Covershot Palette in Ablaze, a palette full of beautiful Autumnal shades. It has the golds, browns, and a red, and is just perfect for creating a range of different eye looks. I will be writing a full review on this palette shortly so I won’t say too much but if you’re looking for a new palette this is a great one that is worth having a look at for Autumn.

The Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in the shade Nillionaire is a rather new single eyeshadow to my collection but it is one I absolutely adore and I am finding myself constantly reaching for. It’s a hard shade to describe but I would say it is a bronzey-black shade with gold glitter throughout, a shade that will be perfect as the centre of evening looks throughout Autumn and Winter… although I have been wearing it in the day too. The swatch at the end of this post doesn’t do it justice as it comes out so much more pigmented and darker when applied to the eyelid.

The other single eyeshadow I had to mention is one from NYX, their Prismatic eyeshadow in the shade Fireball. This is a rusty-red-orange shade that is incredibly pigmented. It is such a warm shade, so definitely another perfect one for Autumn, whether used alone quickly or in a fancier eye makeup look.

The MUA blusher in the shade Candyfloss and the Essence Satin Touch Blush in the shade 20 Satin Love are my two Autumn blusher picks. The MUA blusher is a candyfloss pink as the name suggests, and the Essence blush is a neutral, slightly peachy blusher which also has a glow to it. I love them both but if I had to pick a favourite it would have to be the Essence one as it does add such a beautiful glow to your skin, which really reflects in the light, but both are lovely products and amazing for the mere £1 that they cost.

As it has drawn colder, along with the more dramatic eye looks I have been wearing eyeliner a lot more. One of my favourites has to be the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner due to the pen-like tip. It makes applying eyeliner much easier, even if I’m still absolutely terrible at it.

When it hits Autumn this is when I tend to reach for more daring, darker lip colours, and there are a few that have made it as part of my favourite Autumn makeup picks. The first two are from Colourpop, and are the Ultra Satin Lip in the shade Lyin’ King and the Ultra Matte Lip in Bumble. I love the formula of Colourpop liquid lipsticks and these two are no different. Lyin’ King is a gorgeous deep raspberry shade, while Bumble is a lovely warm rose shade.

The other liquid lipstick I had to mention is the NYX Lip Lingerie in the shade Seduction, a dark nude red shade. This liquid lipstick formula from NYX isn’t actually one of my favourites, which I’ve mentioned previously, but I do adore the shade so still find I reach for it often, especially in the Autumn.

My final favourite Autumn makeup pick is a Mac Lipstick in the shade Amourous. This is a very scary shade for me, a berry toned purple shade, but definitely, one to embrace in Autumn. This lipstick lasts well and is very comfortable to wear too.
