Boots Botanics

I have been wanting to write a post about the Boots Botanics products I was gifted for a while, but with all the ambassador programmes controversy I didn’t know whether to publish it. However, as I genuinely do love Botanics products I have decided to go ahead and share with you my honest thoughts.

Before I start a little disclaimer, I am an ambassador for Botanics at the moment, I don’t think what is requested as an ambassador is necessarily right or mutually beneficial but they are a brand I love and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to try some of their products. I have tried a few of their products in the old packaging previously, a couple which I mentioned previously here, but today I will be sharing my thoughts on the newer products I’ve tried.

Boots Botanics review

The first product I received is the Botanics All Bright Purifying Face Scrub*, a face scrub designed to buff away dull skin in seconds leaving your skin clean and radiant. It is a white cream like texture with mini exfoliating beads throughout which gently deep clean your skin, and when I say gently I really do mean gently, I love this about this product. It cleans my skin with ease and leaves it feeling fully refreshed, and although I’m not so sure about the radiant part I do really like this product.

I also received the Botanics All Bright Hydrating Day cream* from the All Bright range, a product that I have been very much loving.  The formula feels thicker on the skin than it looks in the tub but it sinks in quickly and really does leave a brightening effect. It feels very moisturising too which I wasn’t expecting initially as I’ve found a lot of day creams to be not so moisturising. I love the product, and the radiant effect it leaves on my skin. I rarely sway from my beloved The Body Shop Intense Moisture Cream, but I would honestly say this is just as good with the added benefit of brightening.

The next product I received is the Botanics Refreshing Toning Spritz*. This is a lovely product that doesn’t spray too harshly, I even got Luke to try it to see if he agreed (he did and also thought I was crazy). It leaves my skin feeling nice and refreshed too and the two seconds it takes to spray is a great extra step after cleansing.

The final product is the Botanics Hydrating Day cream*, the second day cream I received. As I received two day creams I have actually been using this one as a night cream as I ran out of my regular night cream anyway. It is quite a thick formula, perfect for my combination skin that is on the drier side, but I definitely think that this is a little too thick for the daytime. This is due to how long it actually takes to sink in, I don’t know about you but I am often in a rush in the morning so I don’t have time to wait for my morning cream to sink in.

Overall I am very impressed with all of the products from Boots Botanics; if I had to pick a favourite it would definitely be the All Bright Hydrating Day Cream as it has impressed me so much.

Have you tried any products from the re-packaged Boots Botanics range? What are your thoughts if you have?
