Love Me Beauty October review

Having re-started my Love Me Beauty subscription back in July I have completely failed to get my subscription box posts out in time, but this month I was adamant I would get round to sharing it. Over the last couple of months, I can’t believe what has been on offer, I’m talking beauty products that cost £60 and even around £120 when the beauty box itself only costs £12.99 including postage! I missed out on the MD Perricone Face Finishing Moisturiser Tint last month as I forgot to check-out but I thought it was such an exciting product to see on offer.

Anyway, if you don’t already know Love Me Beauty is a monthly beauty subscription box that works differently to others as you get to choose your products from a selection each month. I love choosing as I’m far more likely to use the products in the beauty box. If you do decide to join you can get an extra 30 credits on top of the standard 60 for your first box using the code KRIST2969081.

The first product I picked up this month was the Perricone MD High Potency Amine Face Lift. I’m not sure this a product I really need but it is amazing for it to be available and worth £80 so I just decided to go for it. It’s designed to ‘deliver a visible firming effect and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles while promoting a more evened skin tone for healthier radiant-looking skin,’ which sounds amazing but my skin is probably a bit young to properly benefit. However, I will probably give it a go to see if my skin really does look more radiant looking.

As I had a few extra credits this month I picked up a couple of products from Jelly Pong Pong too. I haven’t heard much about this brand before but I have seen their products featured in other beauty boxes so I thought I would try a couple.

The first product I went for was their Play Paint, an incredibly pigmented lip and cheek cream that is said to easily last for 10 hours. As it is a cream formula it is also said to not be drying on the skin. I’ve worn this once so far, on my cheeks, and I was incredibly impressed. It is a bright pink shade that once blended adds a lovely bright pop to your cheeks, a colour that I think would be perfect for Summer. You literally need the tiniest dab and this will be more than enough so I’m sure this product will last ages.

I also picked up the So Susan Statement Skin Highlighting Pencil in the shade Starlight. This is a gorgeous light champagne colour that looks lovely on the skin. It definitely isn’t the most blinding but it adds a nice everyday glow to the skin. The other thing that surprised me is that when I used this pencil directly on my skin it didn’t take my foundation off, which I find often happens when I apply a pencil styled highlight or contour product. I can’t wait to play around with this some more, I’m thinking it could be the perfect under-brow highlight too!

Overall, I am so happy with the things I picked up and the selection of products on offer, and I can’t wait to see what’s available next month, especially as we draw closer to Christmas. What’s your favourite beauty subscription box? Have you tried Love Me Beauty before?
