It Cosmetics is a brand that I have wanted to try for the longest time, and even more so since they’ve been a little bit easier to get hold of in the UK. I was incredibly to receive a few goodies a few weeks ago and have been playing around with them ever since, so I thought I would share my first impressions and how I’m getting on with the products so far. I’ll also be sharing a makeup look on Monday which will incorporate all of these products. But, anyway, let’s get on with it.
IT COSMETICS YOUR SKIN BUT BETTER CC+ CREAM*
The It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream is the product I was most excited to try as this is the product that feels like it has been on my wishlist for literally years. It is described as a colour correcting full coverage skin that creates a perfect canvas with skincare benefits in the ingredients.
I’m not sure I agree with the full coverage claim and would describe the CC cream as having medium, but buildable coverage, but it does have far more coverage than any other CC cream I’ve tried. It also still feels incredibly lightweight which is something I adore as I don’t like to be able to feel my foundation on my skin if at all possible.
The medium coverage base easily covers up any redness on my face leaving it looking healthy with a slight glow to it, a look that’s perfect for Spring. The It Cosmetics CC cream feels hydrating on the skin too, which is perfect as my skin is on the drier side. It even has SPF 50 which means you don’t have to worry about using sunscreen too.
As to the shades, I have the palest shade, fair, which is perfect for my pale skin. If you’ve read my February favourites then you’ll already know that this is a product I have completely fallen in love with and I’m so glad that I’ve finally been able to try it.
IT COSMETICS BYE BYE UNDEREYE CONCEALER*
The next product is the other one that I’ve heard a lot of people rave about, the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer. It is described as a full coverage waterproof concealer that helps you say bye bye to dark circles and hello to a brighter looking eye area.
When you first squeeze the product out of the tube you’ll notice just how thick the concealer formula is and I find that it needs a little warming up before being applied anywhere, including under your eyes. I do find it brightens them but I’m not sure if it’s me, but I find the formula very difficult to work with. It’s quite tricky to blend in. This could be purely down to the fact I’m used to more liquidy or softer formulas so this is very different to me, but I’ve not had this problem with any other concealers before.
Once I have got it blended in it does provide the most amazing full coverage under my eyes, but this does seem to break up under my eyes and I can’t seem to get the full coverage on any spots, as daft as that sounds. It’s definitely a concealer I need to play around with more, and maybe I’ll end up falling in love with it in time.
I have the shade light, which I thought would be a shade up from the CC cream as they don’t have it in fair, but this is actually a lighter shade, so great for any pale girls out there.
IT COSMETICS OMBRE RADIANCE BRONZER*
The It Cosmetics Radiance Bronzer is the product out of the three that I haven’t heard much about but was so incredibly excited to try, especially when I saw the ombre design. It is designed to be your matte bronzer and radiant highlighter, allowing you to customise your combination of sun-kissed warmth and soft luminosity.
If I’m honest I’ve never really thought about applying each of the sections separately or tried to customise my finish, I have simply swirled my bronzer brush through all three of the shades. However, I can say I adore the finish, it really does leave my skin with a sun-kissed warmth and soft luminosity.
The product picks up super easily on the brush and is quite pigmented. It’s very easy to blend the ombre bronzer in a 3 shape from the top of my head to the bottom of my cheekbone ending along my jawline.
It also lasts really well on the skin and is a shade I can see working for a number of skin tones. It’s fair to say I’ve also fallen completely in love with this product and I’m so glad I’ve had a chance to try it. I definitely need to play around with the shades separately too, especially the top part as this looks like it could be a gorgeous highlighter, with a natural glow to it.
Have you tried any It Cosmetics products before? What should I be trying next?
