1 week ago today, after 40 weeks + 3 of pregnancy, I gave birth to our baby girl. It’s time to introduce our daughter to the world – Florence Ella Davies.
Florence was born just after 10pm on Friday 16th November after a successful sweep the day before. She entered the world and showed me a love I never realised could exist.
She arrived in the water and went straight in my arms. I was suddenly a mother and we were a family of three.
Weighing 8lb 2oz my daughter who I’ve been waiting for the last 9 months was here.
1 week on, I don’t even know how to put into words how much I love her. Florence is the most content baby the majority of the time, and the last two nights she has even gone for at least one four hour section of sleep at night. She loves her cuddles, a good stretch, and has started to enjoy her bouncer, albeit a little bit confused about what an earth it is. I have successfully exclusively breastfed her for one week, she has had a tongue tie cut, reached her birth weight already and changed our lives in the most amazing way.
To think she was in my belly just a week ago is absolutely crazy – we were only just starting our journey to meet our beautiful bundle of joy.
I will be sharing my birth story in time, but for now, I just wanted to share her arrival.
Florence Ella Davies – we love you more than you could ever know.
Welcome to the world!
