So somehow it is the end of the month again, which means it is time for monthly favourites. We have finally had some sun this month, even if it is raining as I write this post, and the Urban Decay Heat palette landed in the pre-launch. This is a product I have been loving but as I’ve only had it half of the month I didn’t think it would be fair to include it, maybe it will be in next month’s favourites. Anyway, it’s time to shut up and actually share with you my June favourites.
The first product I had to include is the Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C cleansing oil. If you’ve read my recent skincare post then you will know that I have been using this since the end of March, and I am officially in love with it. I love the smell and how easily it takes my makeup off. I also love using it as a mask and leaving it on my face for 10-15 minutes. I find this leaves my face incredibly moisturised and glowing. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging, why an earth has this not been re-packaged into packaging with a pump?
The Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub would have to be my next favourite, I recently had a reaction to some fake tan and I have found this product has helped me so, so much. It works incredibly well and has really helped calm down my skin, with the added bonus of some moisture for my skin too. Whenever I buy a scrub I tend to go for the Soap & Glory ones and this product has really reminded me why this month.
My next favourite follows on from the moisturising aspect and is the Palmolive Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream. Where my skin reacted, I have found it to be much drier than usual and this shower cream has really helped with that. It has provided some much needed added moisture before I’ve even moisturised. It feels luxurious on the skin too.
The Body Shop Skin Defence is another product I have been loving this month. I will be the first to say I need to apply SPF more regularly and I have been really trying to. I love how light this one from The Body Shop feels on the skin, and find it provides the perfect base for my foundation. It sinks in quickly too which means it’s less of a hassle when I’m rushing around in the morning. It does have a slight scent though which worries me with my sensitive skin.
Loose powders aren’t something I find myself reaching for daily usually but over the last month I have found myself reaching for the No 7 Perfect Light Loose Powder daily. I love how it sets my makeup, helps prevent my concealer from creasing and that it isn’t completely matte. It is a definite love of mine at the moment.
Another favourite this month has to the LA Girl Pro BB Cream. This was a product I picked up really randomly and it has completely suprised me. I won’t say too much as I will be writing a post on this and another product by LA Girl, but I have been loving how light and moisturising this is. It has some coverage too and leaves a lovely glowing finish.
The final favourite has to be the Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in the shade muse. I’ve mentioned this a couple of times, and it really is a beautiful shade in a fabulous long-lasting formula. It is an ultra-metallic dusty rose shade that looks lovely on its own and with other shades. I’m so glad I picked this up.
What have you been loving this month? Have you tried any of the products I have mentioned?
