If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I quite often mention the brand NYX. They are a budget beauty brand that make amazing quality products, and there is always a new product on my wishlist. I shared my first haul here, and another here, so today I thought I would share with you mini reviews of a few more things I picked up from NYX a few months ago.
The first thing I picked were two of the Prismatic Shadows, in the shades Golden Peach and Fireball. Golden Peach is a gorgeous peach pink shade, and Fireball is a rusty red-y orange shade. They both work well on their own and also blend well with other shades or eyeshadows. The prismatic eyeshadows are incredibly pigmented, and definitely something I need to try more of. There are a further 22 shades in the collection, so there are plenty to choose from if you want to give them a go.
I also picked up the NYX First Base Primer Spray. Having heard great things about primer sprays and loving the idea of how easy a primer spray would be, I had to pick this up. It is designed to create a smooth canvas for impeccable makeup application, however I have somehow actually only used this once so I can’t say too much about it. It is a lovely fine mist, but as most of my foundations are silicone based I’m a bit scared it won’t actually do anything for me as this one is water based, and that my makeup will just slide off of my face.
The NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder in the shade Snow Rose was another thing I picked up. As soon as I saw this was released, and the words duo chromatic, I knew I need to try it. The first time I used this I wasn’t very impressed as I was expecting a dramatic highlight, which this definitely isn’t. However, it can be built up and it is a lovely more natural every day highlight. The duo chrome effect is beautiful, with the highlight changing between a white and pink highlight.
The last thing or things I picked up were a couple of the NYX Lip Lingeries in two of the new shades, Seduction and Bustier. This may be controversial as a lot of people love these but I don’t think the formula is amazing, just okay. They apply really easily but I don’t find they last as long as other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried, and when they do need topping up they tend to clump so I have to completely remove them half way through the day. The shades are stunning though, with Seduction being such a unique shade, that I can’t stop wearing it, despite the formula. It is a dark nude red shade and Bustier is a dark mauve nude shade.

Of all the things I picked up most recently the Prismatic Shadows are definitely my favourite and something I think everyone needs to try. Next on my wishlist is the Vivid Eyeliners and the Total Control Drop Foundation.
