With the weather being warmer I find myself reaching for lighter makeup that’s easy to wear, long-lasting and that I don’t really notice I am actually wearing. That being said, today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite lighter makeup picks.
First up is the LA Girl Pro BB Cream, a base super light that still provides coverage. I recently mentioned this in my LA Girl introduction post, and it is a product I am finding myself constantly reaching for. It reminds me of the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue except for the LA Girl formula is a little thicker. This however blends out to feel super light, and is one I am so glad I tried.
Another recent find of mine is the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer. This has amazing coverage, something I really want from my concealer when wearing a lighter base. I have really dark circles that I do like to conceal. It is an incredibly soft formula once warmed up, and it doesn’t feel heavy when wearing. It works great with a lighter base and lasts all day.
I like my lipstick to be long-lasting and easy to wear all year round, but especially so when it is warmer. I have been loving the unique formula of the Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lips for this. The formula of them is hard to describe, but they are sheer, super light liquid lipsticks that still have colour to them. You can’t really feel them, and they can even be layered to build up the colour if you want a more opaque finish. I have the colours Doozy and Slide, a warm pink and a candy pink, both of which are very long-lasting.
The last product I keep reaching for is the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Groundwork. I love this product for many reasons including the longevity it provides. It is great to put on when I am running late but still want to add a little something to my eyes. It’s lovely on its own and so easy to wear, so it is especially great for those lighter makeup days.
