2 skincare products you need to try from Antipodes

Antipodes is a brand that I’ve wanted to try for the longest time, but a brand that I’ve never got round to trying and has simply remained on my wishlist. Back in March, I was lucky enough to receive a couple of products to try; I even featured one of them in my March favourites. Today I thought I would share my views on these two products, two skincare products I really think everyone needs to try.

The Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream wasn’t actually a product that I had thought about trying previously but I’m so glad I have now tried it. The day cream is a light but an intensive day cream, which is perfect for someone like me who has combination skin but on the drier side of the spectrum. A lot of intense day creams are so incredibly heavy and take a while to sink in, but this one from Anitpodes doesn’t. I can easily apply this and immediately go onto my makeup without having to worry, and you can really feel the moisture sinking into your skin too.

The hydrating day cream contains ingredients that are really great for your skin, including manuka honey, rosehip, and antioxidant vinanza grape. This means your skin is kept energised, clear, fresh, and if you have scars or wrinkles it is also meant to help with this.

I can 100% say after applying the Antipodes hydrating day cream my skin does feel energised and clear, but I can’t really comment on it keeping my skin clear. My skin is generally on the clearer side of things but since becoming pregnant my skin has decided I’m a teenager and I have a fair few spots on my face, which definitely haven’t cleared. This isn’t something I really blame this product for and is just an unfortunate pregnancy symptom for me.

If you’re looking for a nourishing day cream that provides you with radiance leaving your skin look energised then this is definitely a product I think is worth trying. From the simplistic glass packaging to the amazing ingredients of this product to how quick it sinks in, there are a number of reasons I’ve been loving this product since starting using it a couple of months ago.

The second Antipodes skincare product I’ve been trying is the Antipodes Divine Face Oil, a skincare product that I have wanted to try for a long time and have heard great things about. It is an incredibly luxurious face oil that feels like a high-end skincare product to me, but it actually only costs £21.99.

Similarly to the vanilla pod hydrating day cream, the divine face oil contains ingredients that are really great for your skin. This time the ingredients include ylang ylang, omega 9 and a high chlorophyll content from the emerald green avocado oil. These ingredients help keep your skin soft, hydrated, healthy and boosts stressed skin.

The Antipodes divine face oil really does boost and lift your skin. The incredibly luxurious feel to the face oil translates to being incredibly nourishing on your skin. It completely rejuvenates my skin overnight leaving me with plumper, hydrated and happier skin.

As this product takes a while to sink in, it isn’t one I tend to use every day, but it is one worth adding to your routine. I’ve been using it about three times a week in combination with my night cream, and I always notice the difference.

I do find the smell a little off-putting, I’m not sure how to describe it, but it is worth coping with the smell for the impact this will have on your skin. I love it so much, and it is definitely my favourite of the two and something I can see continue being a favourite for a long time.

Have you tried Antipodes skincare products before? What else do I need to try?
