Now that it is getting colder there is nothing better than snuggling under the covers with a cup of tea watching a movie. It really is the perfect way to relax, and today I am going to share with you all 5 of my favourite ways to relax.
1) Light a candle or get the oil burner going – I love candles anyway but I definitely think warm smelling autumnal candles are the best. I love the smell spreading throughout our flat, find they actually warm the room and are genuinely relaxing. (I currently have a Yankee Candle Sparkling Cinnamon tartlet in my oil burner whilst writing this post.)
2) Watching a movie whilst snuggling under the covers with the other half – After coming home from work on these dark drizzly days there’s nothing better than popping a movie on, the covers out, and just chilling.
3) Run a boiling hot bath full of Lush goodies – I don’t know about you but I love having a long hot bath before bed, especially one full of Lush goodies. It is the perfect way to get ready for bed but also so relaxing for both the mind and body.
4) Read something – Whether it is a blog, a magazine or a book, focusing your attention on something else is an easy way to relax the body. Even music works really well; whether I am having a boogie getting ready or have my headphones in just chilling music is amazing and definitely relaxing.
5) Have a glass of wine –
I love my wine anyway, but there’s nothing better than a glass of wine after a long stressful day. As they say, a glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away, or was that an apple?
