Okay, so this is a bit of a different post for me, other than a few outfit’s of the day here and there I haven’t shared much fashion-related content on here. However, I’ve picked up a couple of Autumn bits that are definitely going to be staples throughout Autumn, and even Winter, so today I thought I would share with you all a mini Autumn fashion haul try-on.
I got an email through with 20% off in-store at New Look the other week (which never happens) so as I needed a dress for an event, and a couple of jumpers, I headed down to see what I could find.
The first thing I spotted as soon as I walked in the store was this gorgeous black cross stitch embroidered jumperfor £27.99. I had been eyeing up similar styled high neck jumpers last Autumn, but I never took the plunge. I absolutely love the embroidered detail on the front and the arms, and I literally haven’t stopped wearing it since purchasing. It is super cosy so it will be perfect for Winter and my holiday to Iceland too. My favourite way to wear it is with the next item I picked up.
Next up I picked an essential, a simple black fringed hem skirt (£19.99) but oh my god I am so excited to finally have a black denim skirt. I have been looking for the perfect one for well over a year now and this one fits me perfectly. It has a great shape to it all the way round and is so easy to pair with so many tops, including the jumper above. I love it.
I also picked up another jumper, this one I had been eyeing up online and trying on various versions across different high street stores. It is a mustard chenille cropped jumper(£19.99) and it is literally the softest thing in the entire world. It is also super warm, and as much as my fiancé hates it I think it is the perfect colour for Autumn paired with some black jeans, or again the skirt above.
Lastly, I needed a dress for the Bloggers Blog Awards but I wanted one that could be dressed up and worn casually too, throughout Autumn. I had seen one I loved in River Island for £50 but I was on the lookout for something cheaper. I ended it up opting for this black and cream floral printed dress, which I wasn’t sure on at the time but I have had so many compliments on it. I love the lace detailing and the contrast in colour on the sleeves and middle. It is a dress that I can see myself wearing so much and even though it costs £24.99 I managed to pick it up for only £14.99, so it was an absolute bargain too.
I could easily have picked up so much more, New Look has so many amazing Autumn pieces at the moment, but I did try to restrict myself to a few essentials, have you picked up any new fashion bits lately? What are your Autumn fashion staples?
