Christmas candles you need

Christmas candles

Candles are something that I absolutely love, but even more so this time of year when the weather is so cold outside. I love how having a scent around the house, how warm they make the house feel and candles are just something I adore, so I thought I would share with you my favourite candle brands and my favourite Christmas candles from them that you definitely need.

Bath and Body Works candles

The first two candles I’m going to talk about today are two I picked up on our holiday to Iceland and oh my god I’m in love. Twisted Peppermint is unlike any candle I’ve ever smelt before, it’s super fresh from the peppermint but sweet at the same time. If I didn’t have to go to work in the morning I could see this being a perfect morning candle that would instantly wake me up.

The second one I picked up was ‘Tis the Season, which to me is Winter in a candle. I’m absolutely obsessed with this candle to the point I’m avoiding using it as I don’t want it to run out. Yes, seriously. The Winter scent consists of rich red apples, sweet cinnamon and cedarwood, and I have to say I can detect every note. It’s an incredibly warming scent with the apple lightening it ever so slightly.

DW Home candles

DW candles are also another brand that I have been loving, I picked up a few of their candles a couple of months back after hearing that the scent throw was nearly as good as the ones from Bath and Body Works. I have to disagree with this but they are still incredible candles that are relatively strong, and are an amazing price. DW Home is fast becoming another favourite candle brand of mine.

White Pumpkin is the one I’m burning at the moment as I write this post, which is a gorgeous, probably more Autumn scent. It’s a lighter pumpkin scent mixed with spice. I love it, and even though it has more of an Autumn name I think it’s an amazing Winter scent with the spice notes.

Another from DW Homes is the Sugared Currant scented candle, which is just incredible. I’d describe this one as a berry scent if you hadn’t guessed by the name, with a little something else mixed in which helps ensure the berry scent isn’t too strong.

The final one from DW Home is a candle I literally brought to burn when we put up our Christmas tree, Frosted leaves. It does literally smell like fresh real Christmas trees when cold, but I found this one’s throw wasn’t very good, but this could be because this candle is literally miniature. It’s still a scent I think you need, but I would probably suggest picking up a larger sized version of it.

Yankee Candle has always been one of my absolute favourite candle brands, but I’ve actually burnt them all so I didn’t really have any to photograph, but this tart. Sparkling Cinnamon is another incredibly warming scent, and if you hadn’t guessed it smells very strongly of cinnamon with something making it slightly lighter.

The other Yankee Candle I have to mention even if it isn’t pictured is Christmas Eve, my absolute favourite scent from Yankee Candle. It’s another one that I would say smells of Winter, but in a different way to Bath and Body Works ‘Tis the Season. This one is a lot lighter as to spice as it also has notes of sugared plums and candied fruits. I absolutely love it and definitely think you need to try it if you haven’t already.

What are your favourite Christmas candles? Have you tried any of the ones I’ve mentioned?
