Empties lately #3

Beauty empties

About 3 months ago now I shared my latest empties post, so now that I’ve used up a fair few more products I thought it was about time I shared my latest beauty empties, my thoughts and whether I would repurchase them. There’s a mix of skincare, body care, makeup, haircare and even a candle thrown in, but anyway, let’s get on with it – but, I will warn you, it’s a super long one!

BATISTE DRY SHAMPOO

I won’t say too much about the Batiste Dry Shampoo as I mentioned it recently in my haircare favourites post, but this is a product I couldn’t live without; if you couldn’t tell by the fact that there are 4 bottles featured above. I love how it instantly revives my hair without clogging it up. I do tend to switch between the different scents on offer but I don’t really have a favourite.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

BOOTS BOTANICS HYDRATING DAY CREAM SPF 15*

I absolutely love this day cream from Botanics and it is one that I have really enjoyed using. The formula looks quite light in the tub but it actually feels far more nourishing than it looks on the skin. It adds a slight brightening effect and I love that it has SPF in it. It’s a day cream I’m very glad I’ve tried.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

BOOTS BOTANICS HYDRATING DAY CREAM*

The Boots Botanics Hydrating Day cream is a product that I loved when I first started using it, but towards the end I just wanted it gone. I actually used this as a night cream as the formula is quite thick, takes a while to sink in and I didn’t have a night cream at the time. The formula is thicker than your average day cream so this worked well, but towards the end, I found this moisturiser just didn’t seem to have enough moisture in it for me.

Would I repurchase? I don’t think so.

LUSH SNOW FAIRY BODY CONDITIONER

The Lush Body Conditioners have to be one of my favourite ever products from Lush, I love how easy they make my life. If you’re someone who can’t be bothered to moisturise after getting out of the shower or bath then these body conditioners are the one. I love how they instantly moisturise my skin, and that they can be used in the bath or shower. Oh, and the Snow Fairy scent is gorgeous too.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I have already purchased the rose jam version!

L’OREAL PURE CLAY DETOX MASK

The L’Oreal Pure Clay Detox mask is not only an empty, but a product I adore, and one that my fiance loves too. It detoxifies your skin within 10-15 minutes and is so satisfying to use, as it turns your skin bumpy where any blackheads may be. It can be a little drying but this is nothing a good moisturiser or moisturising mask used after can’t fix.

Would I repurchase? I already have.

SEVENTEEN STAY TIME CONCEALER

I’ve heard a lot of people talk about this concealer a lot, and really love it, but this one isn’t for me. I find it does conceal with ease but it breaks up around my nose so quickly. I’m not sure if this is because it feels quite drying, but I really struggled to use this one up and I’m very glad to have finished it now.

Would I repurchase?  No.

COLOURPOP NO FILTER CONCEALER

I’ve mentioned the Colourpop No Filter concealer several times on my blog now and I can never make my mind up on what I think when I’m using it. I have to use a primer if I don’t want it to break up but I love the coverage it provides, and the doe foot applicator is one of the best I’ve ever tried. It’s super flexible which makes it so easy to get into all those nitty gritty places you want to pop your concealer into.

Would I repurchase? I already have.

BARE MINERALS SKINLONGEVITY

The Bare Minerals Skinlongevity is a product that I mentioned in my beauty wishlist in February. This is a mini version of the serum and just makes my skin look really healthy immediately. It sinks in really easy too, so this is one I was loving using in the morning.

Would I repurchase? Yes, I miss it like crazy.

CLINIQUE PEP-START EYE CREAM

Another mini sample, but this eye cream from Clinique is the first eye cream I’ve loved in a while. I never find eye creams really do that much for me, but this one really hydrates and brightens my eye area. It makes the perfect base to start applying my under eye concealer too, and is one is another I’d really love to pick the full size up of.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

BATH AND BODY WORKS SHEA BUTTER SCARY BERRY HAND CREAM

The Bath and Body Works Shea Butter Scary Berry hand cream is an incredibly moisturising hand cream and one that really helped with my super dry hands. I love that it has shea butter in it as this creates a thick, moisturising formula that works incredibly well. It has helped keep my hands from cracking, and smells incredible too.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

THE BODY SHOP VANILLA PUMPKIN HAND CREAM

Another Halloween hand cream but one that I couldn’t resist picking up last year when a lot of people were loving this range. I’m not 100% sure on the scent but whenever I used it at work, I always got asked what it was so it must smell pretty good. It works just as well as the hand cream above, and I’m sure I’ll be picking it up in other scents soon.

Would I repurchase? Yes.

DW HOME WHITE PUMPKIN CANDLE

I can’t believe I’ve actually finished a candle instead of my usual, save the last bit for some unknown occasion. It’s a gorgeous light pumpkin scent with a mix of spicy notes making it an incredibly warming candle. I’ve really enjoyed using it, but I don’t think the scent throws quite as well as the Bath and Body Works candles.

Would I repurchase? Probably.
